CUSTOMIZING BEDDING TO FIT YOUR BABYS NURSERY

Angie Layne

Choosing the baby bedding is probably the most fun of all. Since the crib is the focal point of the nursery, choose bedding that will complement the crib's finish. Deep fabric colors look great with darker woods...such as cherry, cognac and etc....Bright, pastel and medium toned colors are great for white and lighter woods. You can choose themed or non-themed bedding. Pieces of bedding such as a blanket, may be kept by your child for years to come.

Adorable bedding completes the nursery. No matter what your taste, the bedding should be safe, non-flammable and very soft. Make sure to use a baby blanket and not adult blankets. Adult blanket can be too heavy for baby. A coordinating baby blanket looks great thrown over a glider rocker, along with a matching pillow to tie in with the baby nursery theme. Always keep safety in mind and coordinate this in with your decorating theme.

You don't have to spend a fortune to decorate with baby bedding. You can blend purchase items from upscale baby stores with thrift store items. If you can't find the bedding you like, consider custom bedding. This can often be purchased for about the same price as the nicer bedding sets. When it comes to bedding, the choices are endless

When choosing bedding, just use your imagination, create and keep safety in mind.
